Das eingesetzte Kaliber ist auch nicht irgendein Solarwerk, sondern höchste Qualität von SII (Seiko), das zudem mit einer überaus nützlichen Energie-Reserve-Anzeige aufwartet, die per Knopfdruck angezeigt werden kann. Auch die Chronographen-Funktion (Stoppuhr) ist bei dieser Uhr etwas sehr besonderes. Normalerweise haben Chronos eine zentrale Stoppsekunde, d.h. der Zeiger, der bei einer "normalen" Uhr der Sekundenzeiger wäre, steht still auf der 12-Uhr-Position und setzt sich erst in Bewegung, wenn man die Stoppuhr startet. Bei der 5086 wird die Sekunde hingegen im unteren Hilfszifferblatt gestoppt, die Minuten im linken und das rechte Hilfszifferblatt ist eine 24-h Anzeige. The chronograph function (stopwatch) on this watch is also rather special. Usually Chronos have a central stop second, i.e. the hand, which would be the second hand in a "normal" watch, stands still at the 12 o'clock position and does not start moving until the stopwatch is started. With the 5086, however, the stop-seconds are counted in the lower sub-dial, the stop-minutes in the left and the right sub-dial is a 24-hour display.
